Dark Elves

The Dark elves, as evidence by their name, are creatures of the night. Their night-vision is that of a cat's and their reflexes as well. Because of this, they tend to sleep during the day and do whatever business they have to attend to during the night hours. The Dark elves usually view their fellow elves with slight aloofness. They do hold no arrogant disposition towards them but do not consider them kinship. The Dark elves are usually the most technologically innovative of the elves (the High elves are usually more parasitical than them), and boast large, beautiful cities in expansive underground caverns. Because of this, they frequently make contact with the dwarves, but usually hold no ill-will with them except when wars over underground territory spring up.
